Default Royal British Legion launch Poppy Appeal



The money collected by the Royal British Legion helps serving members of the Army, Navy and RAF as well as ex-services personnel and their families. Remembrance Day is one of the most important days in the calendar and it is our chance to say thank you to the armed forces.

This year's 2009 poppy appeal launched today will focusing it's support to the Afghan generation of Armed Forces wounded and bereaved . With this year's slogan been "For their sake, wear a poppy".

I'm trying to find my uncle Richard Kenneth Baylor who was in Aden..but with what regiment i dont know. Born in Fermoy. Co COrk, Ireland

Also my uncle Maurice Long who served in Burma and I remember him telling me about Vera Lynn coming out.

Hi ive just done some research on richard kenneth baylor and this is what i found i dont no if this is the uncle you are looking for but i hope this helps
